Over 110 Years of Combined Experience

Metric Motors was established in 1969 by Elfar who immigrated from Iceland in 1964. For over 4 years Elfar worked for the Mercedes dealership in Utah before moving to Reno, Nevada. The Mercedes trained technician with over 50 years experience in the field was joined by his son Sandur at Metric Motors in 1979.

Sandur brings over 27 years of Mercedes and BMW experience, along with, diagnosis of fuel injection and electrical problems. Through 3 moves Metric Motors finally settled in it's present location in 1986 at 1201 East Fourth Street.

To complete this specialized service team, John joined Metric Motors in 1999 bringing over 40 years of experience with a specialty of working on Jaguar. Trent joined us in 2003 to complete the service team with extensive experience working with Audi's and Volvo.
